Tha Muthafunkaholx are proud to release this single off their latest album Taste A Funk for streaming.(available exclusively at https://thamuthafunkaholx.com/new-album-taste-a-funk). This follows up our previous single Stand! (2025) featuring George Clinton which now has over 12k streams on Spotify. Press / Reviews

“"Smile" has a really infectious character. There's a warmth and looseness to the track that I connected with straight away, and I particularly like that Tha Muthafunkaholx don't seem interested in making everything sound excessively polished or controlled. The song has movement, personality and, most importantly, a real sense of groove. The bass deserves a special mention because it has a lot of character. It doesn't just sit underneath the arrangement playing the safest possible part. The vocal sits really naturally over that foundation. There's a relaxed confidence in the performance that suits the track perfectly. Instrumentally, there's plenty to enjoy beyond the rhythm section. The harmonic parts have a nice rhythmic quality of their own, and there are little accents and melodic responses appearing throughout the track. The mix has a warm character that feels appropriate for the music.” - MUSIC MEDIA
“Thank you for sharing another one of your songs with us. We really appreciate it. As you may be aware, I usually like to begin these messages by sharing my thoughts on the song. Production quality is solid, vocals are great and I really enjoyed the groove. This song fits within the Funk space we look for, for our playlist. Therefore, we will be adding this song to our playlist "Bring Back the Funk". Please note that a song usually stays on our playlist for about 4 weeks. Wishing you all continued success. All the best! Tiago, Silva Lining Band.” - Bring Back the Funk
